Season Challenge Rules

Season Challenge

Season

Test your fantasy football expertise against everyone. Here’s how it works: Before the season starts, each team owner will choose a roster of 8 players (one QB, two RBs, two WRs, one TE, one PK, and one Team Defense). This will be your team for the entire season, no need to worry about having to submit line-ups every week or having to make transactions.
Each week your players will earn your team points, based on what they do in their NFL games. Your team will accumulate points each week, for 17 weeks of regular season games. At the end of the season, every team’s point totals will be compared to determine the winners. The entry fee this season is only $10! We want to keep the fee low this year, so that a lot of people will want to try it. The more teams we get, the higher the payouts, You may enter more than one team if you wish.

Choosing Your Team

Your roster must consist of 8 total players which are to be: one (1) quarterback, two (2) running backs, two (2) receivers, one (1) tight end, one (1) place kicker, and one (1) team defense & special team. You will choose your players based on their fantasy points rankings from last season.
The only stipulation you must obey is that you cannot choose more than one player with the same ranking from last season, regardless of position. For example, if you choose the #1 ranked QB, you cannot choose any other #1 ranked player from any position. All of your players rankings have to be different.
Not every player is listed on the final rankings from last season, only the highest scorers for each position. Any player not listed, such as rookies, are ranked as "other". You are allowed one (1) "other" ranked player on your roster, at any position, if you so choose.

Injuries

If you have a player that gets hurt, you do not get to replace him. That is the risk that everyone takes. This may play into some strategy when choosing your team. Don’t think that you don’t have a chance to win if you have a player go down for the season, because everyone else could also have a player, or maybe more, go down. All teams will more than likely have some players miss some games due to injuries. Unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game.

Updates

I will be tallying scores throughout the day on sundays during the season, and will post partial scores on sunday nights. These partial scores will include all of the NFL games for the week, with the exception of the sunday night games and the monday night games. I won't be able to tally the scores for the monday night games and post all of the weekly totals to this site until tuesday night of each week, after I get done with my "real" job.
