ROSTERS
Each team’s
roster will consist of 18 active players. Your starting lineup will
consist of 14 players: one C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, three outfielders, one
DH(who can be any position player you choose), four starting pitchers,
and one reliever. The other 4 players on your roster are your reserves
and they may be any position you choose. Each team must have their starting line-up reported
to the league office by each Sunday night, if changes are being made.
I will make a one day exception for position players (non-pitchers). Meaning,
you may still make changes to your position players on Monday of each
week, but pitchers and transactions must be reported by Sunday night.
SEASON
The regular
season will consist of 20 head to head ‘games’. Each ‘game’ starts
on Monday and ends on Sunday of each week. Playoffs will follow the regular
season for the top teams in the league. Depending on the number of teams
that are participating in the league this year, at least half of the teams
will make it to the playoffs, then the playoff schedule will be set.
At least the top 4 teams will be paid out. There will be approximately
6 weeks (games) of playoffs.
TRANSACTIONS
Each team
is allowed to make no more than 2 free agent acquisitions and one trade
per week. A free agent is any major league player not on a fantasy roster
in your league. When you acquire a free agent, you must adjust your active
roster to exactly 18 players, either by releasing a player or placing
a player on injured reserve. Each team may have as many players on injured
reserve as needed, provided that any player on injured reserve doesn’t
play at all during the week. You may not acquire a player that is hurt,
except via the draft. As soon as a player on injured reserve plays, he
automatically comes off injured reserve and the respective fantasy owner
must adjust their active roster to equal 18. If the fantasy owner does
not inform the commissioner of specific instructions pertaining to a
player coming off of injured reserve, the commissioner will make a decision
on the situation, which may or may not be to the liking of the owner.
Meaning, the player coming off of injured reserve will be placed into
your starting line-up, and the lowest scoring player on your roster at
that position will be dropped. You may make free agent acquisitions throughout
the regular season, but during the
playoffs, the only time you may pick up a free agent is in case of injury.
Teams may trade players with other fantasy teams. You may make multiple player
deals, or multiple team deals, so long as when all is said and done, all
active rosters equal 18. All trades
are subject to league approval. All transactions must be reported by all
owners involved by Sunday night to take effect for the following week (game).

NEWSLETTERS
I will try
to have the stats done and on the web site Monday night, but it may
be late Monday, so you may not be able to see them until Tuesday. Look
on Monday just in case. Remember, the commissioner is human and makes mistakes
just like you. If you feel that a mistake was made, please bring it to
my attention. Enjoy the season!
Thanks,
The
Commish
